What I'm going to create for you today is a mash up that uses content syndication and social networking to have an internal and an external view of information regarding contact lists that maintain.  

So let me get a blank canvas here, alright, I'll go into assemble mode now and put some widgets on the page.  First thing I want to do is grab my contact list.  I'll drag that out and drop it on the page, excellent.  Now, I want to carve out my page real estate, I'll put a quick table on there.  Can I insert a column so that I can't have two areas, one for the content syndication, one for social networking information.  

So, let's put the show cloud which will display a tag cloud on the left-hand side.  Let's see, it's a little large, I think I'll make the size a little smaller here.  Alright, and now let's go in and grab a newsfeed, drop it on the right hand side.  

Okay, now get the palette out of the way.  I want to also show you that one thing we can do is we can connect selection on this list to the search that drives the newsfeed.  So down here, I have a non-visual Google News feed widget and I'll edit its properties to bind its query to selection on my show data and grab the interests of my contact.  Apply that, now when I select on the table, a Google News search is performed and you can see that it updated to have storage relevant to the search terms from the interests of my contact.  

Let's see, let me get back my palate, one other thing I can do is I can actually put on the page a nice little SMS message listener that will go in and look for phone numbers on the page and add itself, such that now when I select on this table, I can send an SMS message to my contact.

Alright, let's go to our completed page that's a little bit more cleaned up.  Get into view mode, you can see that we've got a tag cloud on the left which has links to pages in the wiki and we've got the news stories on the right, all based on selection.  Now if we look at the source of this page, we'll see that it took very few tags to create this mashup, which is a very rich application.
